Thursday afternoon we embarked on a snorkeling trip recommended by John and Domini.




On the way over to the mainland we spotted a capsized boat in the Nassau harbour. Not a good omen.




The other big tourist area of Nassau is along Cable Beach, which we never really visited. Here you can see the long row of hotels and resorts along the shore of Cable Beach.




When we arrived at the snorkel place we decided to spend a few bucks for new snorkel mouthpieces (some people don't trust the communal ones) and when we paid with a $20, the woman behind the counter stapled it to our registration form. What kind of crazy accounting procedure is that? (She then tried to give us change in Bahamian money, which Emma refused to accept.)
