A nearby convenience store stocked a bizarre variety of North American and European candy bars, and a bunch of other food brands for that matter. They obviously knew their clientele.
Although you have to wonder who'd be interested in the produce.
Later that afternoon our lounging on the pool deck was interrupted by a loud and obnoxious beer-drinking contest. Yes, the teen partiers had arrived on the Friday afternoon and they were incited to new lows by one of the hotel entertainment staffers (in the white shirt) who didn't speak very good English and made up for it by blowing on her whistle at every possible opportunity. By the end of our week there, I was moments from making her eat the damn whistle.
Apologies to this woman I don't know, but while I can totally understand having your wedding somewhere nice and warm, our hotel really didn't seem like it had quite the right mix of class or private facilities for such an event. In fact, the wedding party had their dinner with the rest of us in the steakhouse restaurant. Precious little would have stopped us from walking up and taking a piece of their wedding cake. (Or sneaking into their wedding photos, for that matter.)
