Unlike the ride into town from the airport a week earlier, this time we were taken on the non-scenic route through some of the less prosperous parts of Nassau.
When we got the airport, the Bell group had only just started to check in. Without the aid of computers, the simple process of checking in took almost an hour and a half. It was, rather to everyone's credit I think, just about the only part of our package trip that seemed poorly organized.
Forget about a proper jetway, we were lucky to have a 30-year-old stair car that was sagging in the middle. And of course, you're going to get hop-ons.
As we climbed onto the plane for our return flight, Emma was protected from the sun by the diplomatic shield of the mighty Maple Leaf.
