[ Security frisks the cleaners ]

Eegod! Another airport photo! At least this time it's of something new: The aircraft cleaning staff were being screened before being allowed to enter the aircraft. The woman in blue was using one of those metal detector wands on the somewhat suspicious looking cleaners. (What, no uniforms?)


[ Racing to the runway ]

We had to beat another aircraft to the runway ("Pssst! I think he wants to drag...")


[ Tiny Embraer jet ]

I had to change plans in Cleveland, where another aviation first was going to take place. This tiny little Brazilian jet was dwarfed by the catering truck, which wasn't even a truck! It's some kind of cart!

I'd never been on one of these before and I was curious to see how I liked it, especially since it was bound to have that new plane smell.


[ Luggage cart ]

Here they lug the too-big-for-the-cabin-but-not-big-enough-to-check luggage from the doorway around to the cargo hold. Notice the size of the winglet at the end -- it's ridiculously out of proportion to the wing. Also, having flown on its Canadian competitor, I can say the Embraer jet is much louder inside the cabin. Meh.
