The Times has its own test kitchen for trying out recipes. Damn. We can't even get a decent cafeteria.




After the tour I headed back to the hotel, where I captured one of the first-cool-now- annoying flybys from one of LAPD's finest gravity-defiers. (Notice how dirty the glass is.) Then we all met back downstairs in the lobby for one of our forays in the rental car.




It took a while, and it didn't turn out well, but I did actually get a shot of a California Highway Patrol officer, and he was on a motorcycle no less! No word if he was named Jon or Ponch (he seemed busy so I didn't ask).
