We stumbled upon a low-key tour group led by another National Park Service ranger, consisting entirely of Ranger Chris and a guy who looked like he was on lunch break from a conference.




They don't make chocolate at the Ghirardelli factory on the waterfront anymore, but we figured it couldn't hurt to go take a look and were rewarded with some sample chocolates.




We decided to ride one of the vintage streetcars back to the hotel before heading out to meet Emma's friend Kajal out in her neck of woods.




The MUNI dropped us off in the Golden Gate Park area of the city just as the sun was setting on our second day in the city. We had used our transfers from the streetcar to board and thus avoided a problem that would rear its ugly head the next morning.
