Pacific Rim National Park features the incredible 8-mile Long Beach, which - true to dad's prediction - was covered in rolling sea fog even into the late afternoon.


At this point I'd like to lend my thanks again to the nice man who gave us his parking pass in the beach parking lot!




We both enjoyed our sandwiches and fruit by the sea.




The sun was coming and going as the fog rolled through, and I kept thinking to myself that we should come back in the summer when the weather is nicer - uh, right. It was summer. It's probably like this year round!

We dipped our feet in the water, but I couldn't go in any further than my knees because it was frickin' cold in there.




I couldn't for the life of me figure out how anyone was going swimming in the icy water, although the surfers had wet suits to keep them warmer.
