The Arno river is pretty disappointing by, oh, any river standards. But I went over one of the bridges and climbed up to a lookout that would, if it isn't raining, offer a nice view of Florence ...




This is the 'lucky' boar in the market area of Florence. It's a lot like the Trevi Fountain: you're supposed to give it money and it'll give you the good fortune of coming back (so you can put more money in it!). You're also supposed to rub its nose (hence the shiny colour).
