That evening we did in fact get a chance to change before dinner. Here we have an action shot (you know it's an action shot because it's blurry!) of John and Susan, as well as some of the CCI representatives in the background. The man in black on the left is the president of CCI, Carsten Christensen. He was steeling himself for the hefty expense of buying us all (150 or so, I believe) dinner at Lawry's in Beverly Hills.




Here we all board the buses for a quick tour of Hollywood and then on to dinner.




Gawking like the tourists we were, the conference delegates had a pretty informative meander through the downtown core before heading to Hollywood, thanks to some narration from the LA Times conference organizers. I learned something new about the Hollywood sign and Alice Cooper, for example.
