In a move that came as no surprise to anyone, we found that the gift shop was still open even if you couldn't go on a tour.




Then we moved on into downtown Memphis and found our hotel, which turned out to be right across the street from the FedEx Forum, where the Memphis Grizzlies play. They used to be in Vancouver, where I gather basketball was not warmly received.




After dropping our bags at the hotel we wandered down to the waterfront, where we could look across the Mississippi at Alabama.




We both tried to pose the way we would for an album cover.




From there we wandered back to Beale Street to look around and check out a fun kitsch store.
