[ Snowman on the side of the road ]

... a snowman (woman?) at the side of the road. This is when we realized things must have been much, much worse the night before if people had been stopped long enough to get out and make snowmen (we saw another later on) at the side of the road.

We puttered along in stop-and-go traffic on the highway for at least another hour and a half, which put our planned tour of Graceland in doubt.

Arriving at Graceland it was obvious we'd missed our chance at a tour. Like the others there that afternoon, we were left to take photos from the road.
