Our final evening plans entailed getting out of our hotel and down to a nearby restaurant to meet another of Emma's friends. The only problem was the aforementioned Chinese new year parade, which blocked our route and left us jammed in a sea of people crowding the sidewalks all around our hotel for half an hour as we tried to make our way through.
But make it we did, and we had a nice Indian meal and some samples of local wines before heading to bed.
I saw something similar on my prior trip, but on our final day we saw some more trippy passsageways at the San Francisco airport. It's distinctive, I'll give them that much.
Back at Pearson, waiting for our luggage to turn up, I noticed this ad posted above a Bell payphone, touting its old-timey reliability compared to the newfangled cellular telephone. There was just one problem...
And that's pretty much it.
