[ Green spaces ]

There are not a lot of green spaces in downtown Seattle, and the ones I did find seemed to have been strategically located around the interstate highway that runs right through the core.


[ Seattle Architectural Foundation ]

Inside one of the many office towers is a storefront gallery for the Seattle Architectural Foundation. You'd think after my earlier comment about architecture that I'd find this interesting, but somehow they managed to make it tremendously boring.


[ Pike's Place Market ]

Pike's Place Market is right down by the waterfront and is definitely worth visiting if you like farmer's market type places. That's not really my thing but I had a look.


[ Inside the market ]

I just liked the colours.

The original Starbucks is here, but if Starbucks doesn't excite you in your own town, it's not going to excite you any more here.


[ Monorail! ]

Seattle has a monorail that serves the rather comical purpose of taking people over to Seattle Center (where the Needle and some museums are) from the downtown core, which really only takes about 20 minutes and is on flat terrain. A monorail up and down those damn hills is what they need instead!
