On the highway between the Coquihalla and Kelowna we came across the first of many (many!) truck run-off lanes. Any highway that threatens brake failure is a friend of mine!




The Okanagan lake and valley makes for some of the nicest scenery in B.C. We had been warned, however, that this was Bible country...




...which made this tattoo and piercing business stick out like a sore thumb!




Luckily the town righted its moral balance by dispatching these two gentleman to a city park, where they proceeded to offer copies of The Watchtower to everyone they met.

After lunch we hit the road north, heading for Kamloops. Right outside of town we passed this strange structure, which reminded me of the similar structures at the old abandoned NASA launch pads at Cape Canaveral. Bonus points to anyone who can identify it.
