One of the facts of life in this part of the world is forest fires, and we passed quite a lot of burned out areas.




As we pulled into the Sun Peaks ski resort north of Kamloops, we passed some gentlemen doing just about the only thing you *can* do at a ski resort in the middle of August - golfing.




Of course the ski runs were deserted and our hotel was barely open, but it was actually a nice little oasis away from, well, everything.
