Day 6, time to hit the waves. We arrived about 5 minutes before the sailing from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay, not really concerned about which ferry we caught since they run on the hour. But to our delight, they took us right away.




Morning fog is to be expected throughout the islands, and we got a great view as the ferry made its way to Vancouver Island.




When the fog broke, we realized we had been following another ferry through the narrow channels.




For those who remember my trip to Norway, this sign should be familiar. But notice a significant difference -- this sign says 'assembly station' on it. It all becomes clear!




After ditching our car at the hotel in Victoria, we went walking around the harbour area as I did my best 'preppy tourist' impersonation.
