As we crossed over into U.S. waters, we began to keep our eyes peeled for any sign of whales -- We were the best at spotting waves, seabirds and garbage that could be mistaken for whales.




Luckily the whales weren't too concerned with international boundaries. This one was doing his best Jaws impression, heading right for our boat.




It was actually a lot of fun to see the orcas pretty close up. Sure, it's no Marine World, but they get close enough to see their markings.




Back on dry land, we changed at the hotel and then went in search of dinner. On the way back, we passed through the inner harbour area again and enjoyed the surprisingly-not-too-tacky-looking lights on the legislature building.




Day 7 got off to a slow start. For the first time in my life, I witnessed a lineup for Tim Hortons that stretched out the door. Dirk and Dan were not impressed!
