I had been hoping to get another nice shot of the waterfront at Long Beach as we left, but the barrier kind of got in the way. Instead you get a crappy shot of the Queen Mary and another cruise ship in the background.




Coming back to LA, we ran into some traffic.




We also drove past the nest of LAPD helicopters that had been buzzing the hotel all week. You can see them lined up on the roof (ignore the blue truck). But speaking of blue, the thing that made the LAPD helipad most fun for me was the fond memories of Blue Thunder, which was first a movie with Roy Scheider and Daniel Stern, and then a TV show with Dana Carvey and Dick Butkus!


After we got back from our expedition, we watched Game 2 and had dinner at the hotel. We could party too much since Calgary lost and we had to get up at the crack of dawn to catch our flight home.
