These kids were solemnly observing the deep import of the peace monument by setting off firecrackers in a pop can.




This is the Bavarian National Museum and the only reason I took this picture is that it has a gleaming gold rooster near the top which you cannot make out in the photo. Damn.




These guys were kayaking on the river that flows through a big park in the north end of the city.




It was starting to get dark as I crossed Ludwigstrasse, so I headed back towards the hotel. I came back later and faced in the opposite direction to get a shot of the Odeonsplatz.
