There's lots of local flavour at the Predators games, including a country/rock band that plays during the intermissions.




By the third period it was getting ugly for the Red Wings fans, who by this point had joined the Predators fans in taunting the Detroit players for their terrible effort. It was 7-0 halfway through the third as these fans made their exit.




Jason Arnott picked up a goal in all three periods to earn a hat trick, which was met with hats and then those air ambulance blankets raining down on the ice. At one point the announcer came on to ask that people throw "hats only, please."




What do you do if you're a Red Wings fan and you've brought some octopuses (octopi?) to throw on the ice in anticipation of a victory, only to find your team losing 8-0? Throw 'em anyway! Those two Detroit fans were soon bodily ejected from the arena.




The Preds acknowledge the fans at the end of a pretty lopsided victory against their biggest rival.
